Appleby Castle has a number of dining options to suit everyone’s requirements.
· The 12th century Old Great Hall (normally set for rustic dining for couples and groups but can be set for large groups).
· The 15th century Great Hall, normally set with lounges to relax but can be set for large groups (90 maximum) celebrating in splendour.
· The 15th century Dining Room (normally set for couples, but can accommodate large groups).
· The 17th century Private Dining Rooms: Oak 4 can accommodate up to 6 people and Oak 5 up to 10 people.

Fine Dining Banquet Dinner
Dine by candle light in the 15th century dining room with a high ceiling and log burner. Our food is exquisite and the selection of wines superb with something for everyone’s palate. For many, the highlight of this memorable castle is the elegant dining experience in unsurpassed ambient surrounds with fantastic food on offer.

Private Dining Rooms
Private dining rooms are available. Enjoy a luxurious 5 course meal in a 17th century oak panelled room with a bottle of champagne.
Private Dining is proving very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Dine in the Old Great Hall
This room was converted to stone around 1180 and features a huge rustic fire place with a flag stone floor and an ornate Elizabethan ceiling. The atmosphere is superb and suited towards large groups or families.
This dining room offers an À La Carte menu to select from.
